Sound is a wave. It matters not if we ponder this fact or ignore it; sound directly impacts our bodies, our minds and affect us all at a cellular level. When I touch my bow to these strings I feel in my bones that we humans are creatures whose existence connects the heavens and the earth. For me performance holds the power of transformation. When I perform I become sound itself. Sometimes I vibrate with intense passion shaking the listener out of our set pattens of being. At other times I slow toward silence soothing and caressing our common sorrows. And sometimes I find myself filling the soundscape around me with sheer vibrance and delight. For me, music embodies my deep gratitude for being born in this natural world. When I perform I am transformed into a filter between the mysterious energy of the universe and the beating hearts of the audience. 

音は波動であり、気づくと気づかないとに関わらず、私たちの細胞に直接影響するものです。私は人間が地球の上で天と地をつないでいる存在であることを体感しながら音を出しています。 演奏するとき、私は音そのものになります。時には固まったものを激しく揺さぶるエネルギーを爆発させ、時には悲しみに寄り添う静けさを、そして喜びを空間に放ち、それが巡り巡って人や大地の内的な波動を整える流れを感じます。 私にとって音楽とは、この大自然に生かされていることへの感謝であり、演奏することは、宇宙の神秘のエネルギーを私というフィルターを通して人々の心に届けることなのです。
